Amber provides a “one-stop-shop” for the key services a lender may need to resolve challenges with a hotel loan. We provide lenders with multiple options for resolution and can manage them from beginning to end, providing a simple, timely, and cost-effective solution.
ADVISORY
Collateral Risk Assessment: Amber can review the hotels on a bank’s watchlist to proactively identify key risks that could lead to loss in value to the collateral. Protecting the value of the collateral is always our first priority.
Planning & Strategy: We evaluate numerous approaches for resolving distressed situations and can deliver the most appropriate, cost effective and timely resolution of challenged loans.

VALUATION
Valuations attuned to current market conditions are critical in determining the best course of action. We can provide Broker Opinions of Value (BPO) or review appraisals to provide accurate and timely market value guidance.
RECEIVERSHIP
Amber has been appointed Receiver of hospitality properties in 25 state court’s across the nation in order to provide time-critical preservation of collateral asset value.
MANAGEMENT
Amber can step in quickly within 24-48 hours anywhere in the country to manage a distressed asset with complete oversight and control. Whether management is under Amber’s receivership appointment, on behalf of a bank’s REO department, or direct for a borrower at a bank’s request, Amber is always in a supervisory role and will be your primary point of contact.
BROKERAGE
Amber is one of the largest and most experienced hospitality brokerage firms in the U.S. with over one billion dollars and 500 hotels in past transactions. At a lender’s request, Amber can also work directly with a cooperative borrower to help them sell their hotel so a bank can avoid the cost and complications of legal remedies and having to assume ownership of a hotel.
