Joshua Richey joined the Amber Hotel Company team in April 2006. During his time at Amber, he has worked closely with Steve Post and the marketing department to reinvigorate Amber Hotel Company's corporate identity and branding collateral.

Mr. Richey is the Founder and Principle Creative Director of LabBrain Design Inc, a full service graphic design studio located in Portland, Oregon. With over a decade of diverse experience in the graphics industry, Mr. Richey has become an internationally recognized resource for his innovative outlook and progressive design solutions.

Previous to the founding of LabBrain, Mr. Richey worked as a designer for the prominent Storm Thorgerson Studio in London, creating websites, collateral and album art for music heavyweights such as Pink Floyd, The Mars Volta and Deepest Blue. As an expert in technical design development as well as conceptual creative work, Mr. Richey stresses the importance of understanding how initial ideas translate into the reality of today's new media. He has been called upon by big corporations- Alpine, Sony, Apple- and ambitious startups- Skydance Productions, Kira Craft Inc., Mosaic College Prep- to deliver focused branding and a unique marketing perspective.

Mr. Richey attended California College of the Arts in San Francisco, where over the course of his studies he was distinctively recognized and honored as an original thinker. He was the recipient of both the Phillip K.Ting Award for Innovative Design Potential and the prestigious Becker Foundation Merit Scholarship for Design Excellence.
